Participants of Pakistan and ASEAN: A growing partnership roundtable discussion is in progress in Pakistan.

Myanmar participated in the “Pakistan and ASEAN: A Growing Partnership” roundtable discussion held at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) in Islamabad, Pakistan, on 7 August, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the discussion, Myanmar Ambassador U Wunna Han spoke on the topic “Myanmar’s Active Participation in ASEAN and Its Relations with Pakistan as a Sectoral Dialogue Partner”. The panel included Dr Talat Shabbir, Director of the China-Pakistan Study Centre; ISSI Director-General Ambassador Sohail Mahmood; Dr Usman W Chohan, CASS Economics Director; and Ambassador Mr Khalid Mahmood, Chairman of the Board of Governors of ISSI. The Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Ambassador Mr Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, attended as a special guest. Heads of Pakistani embassies in ASEAN countries participated and discussed the topic online. — ASH/TH
