Myanmar participates in seminar on traditional medicines in Nanning, China

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Daw Khaing Su Linn, Myanmar Consul-General in Nanning, along with representatives from the Department of Traditional Medicine under Myanmar’s Ministry of Health, attended a seminar on traditional medicines in Nanning, Guangxi, China, on 3 September.
Key attendees included Deputy Director-General Ms He Li of the Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation of China, Deputy Director-General Mr Cai Zhenjun from the Office of the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Director Dr Peng Cheong Choi of the Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau of Macao SAR, Deputy Director-General Mr Wei Guanghui of the Guangxi Drug Administration, ASEAN consuls-general, consuls in Nanning, and representatives from ASEAN countries.
Myanmar’s presentation focused on regulatory policies for traditional medicines, research methodologies, quality control of herbal medicines, and the harmonization of international standards for traditional medicines between ASEAN countries and China. — ASH/TMT
