Myanmar Railways invites bids for Kyimyindine Station development

Myanmar Railways on Friday invited local and foreign firms to bid on a project to develop Yangon’s Kyimyindine Station into a transportation, retail and commercial hub.
The new Kyimyindine railway station complex will be an essential part of the development of greater Yangon city, Myanmar Railways said in a newspaper advertisement announcing the tender.
According to the ad, the project will include multi-storied commercial and office buildings, hotels and serviced apartments across 2.63 hectares (6.48 acres). The project will be implemented in line with an international tender process, it said. The deadline is 5 August for local, international or joint venture developers or investors to submit expression of interest documents to undertake the designing, construction and operation of the complex.
