Myanmar repatriates 11 Thai nationals

A total of 11 Thai nationals — five men and six women — who had been in Tachilek Town of eastern Shan State were sent back to their homeland through the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge 2 yesterday.
Their health conditions were checked and their body temperatures were taken before they were sent back.
Thai nationals who have been working in Tachilek before the outbreak of COVID-19 are returning home because of the closure of factories and workshops.
Myanmar authorities led by Assistant Director of Tachilek Immigration Division 6 U Maung Maung Myint and Secretary of Caring and Negotiating Committee for Myanmar Citizens In Mae Sai, Thailand (CNCMC) U Sithu Maung handed over the Thai nationals to the Thai authorities led by in-charge of Thai bridge 2 police officer Pathpon Onnoul, immigration officer Songsok Pakiang and healthcare officer Priawpurin Manopeaw.—Yarse (IPRD) (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
