Myanmar representative attends 2022 ASEAN Media Partners Forum virtually

The 2022 ASEAN Media Partners Forum was convened in the Wuxiang Resort in Nanning, China on the morning of 15 September.
The forum is hosted by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region-GZAR and China Media Group-CMG and co-planned by the China CPC Information Committee and headquarters of CMG Guangxi under the theme “Intelligence, Collaboration, Cohesion” with the following purposes: to deepen the media integration in China and ASEAN countries, promote cooperation among member countries and build a closer China-ASEAN community.
Those invited by media organizations including officials from China, heads of media from ASEAN member countries, the secretary-general of the ASEAN-China Centre, ASEAN secretary-general of the designate, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union-ABU and the general secretary participated in the conference and Chairman of SCI-Myanmar Director-General U Ye Naing of the Myanma Radio and Television, Ministry of Information joined the forum online.
The start-up plan for a new phase of cooperation between CMG and ASEAN countries, external and online communication promotion programme and signing programme for the strategic cooperation agreements between CMG and GZAR were included in the forum.
Myanmar acting as a country coordinator who is responsible for negotiating with China for ASEAN and dialogue partner countries and participating in the 2022 ASEAN Media Partners Forum can accelerate collaboration, it is learnt. — MNA
