Myanmar, Russian exchange military medical services

The Military Medical Experts’ Meeting between Myanmar and Russian Armed Forces in progress at No 2 Military Hospital (1,000-bed) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Myanmar and Russian Armed Forces yesterday held a seminar on military medical services at No 2 Defence Services General Hospital (1,000-bed) in Nay Pyi Taw with the attendance of Director of the Directorate of Medical Services Maj-Gen Ko Ko Lwin, senior Tatmadaw officers and the Russian delegation led by Maj-Gen Denis Vladimirovich Davydov of the Main Military Clinical Hospital.
After the opening speeches of the two leaders, they cordially discussed experiences in Tatmadaw-related medical services, cooperation in medical research, production of vaccines, scholarship programmes for high-level training courses, Tatmadaw-related medical services training and practice sessions and bilateral relations between medical corps of the two countries.
Then, the Russian delegation observed No 2 Defence Services General Hospital (1,000-bed).
At noon, the Russian delegates met Adjutant General Lt-Gen Soe Min Oo of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) at No 2 Defence Services General Hospital (1,000-bed), and discussed exchange trips and further cooperation between medical units of the two armies.
The Russian delegates visited the Defence Services Museum, Myanmar Gems Museum and Maravijaya Buddha Image on the same evening. — MNA/KTZH
