Myanmar sees arrivals of more Thailand visitors by car

With the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism implementing measures to boost the tourism sector and provide safe and smooth transportation, local and foreign visitors have been travelling to destinations in Myanmar using air, water, and road transport.

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and the arrangement of Mother Ayeyarwaddy Travels and Tours Co. Ltd, 24 tourists from Thailand travelled on the Hteekee-Dawei-Maungmagan route on 11 cars from 23 August to 25 August, and left Myanmar through the Hteekee border gate. Tourists have been entering Myanmar through the border gates to explore well-known destinations, enjoy the scenic beauty, and observe the different cultures and traditions of the ethnic people of Myanmar.
The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is also granting visa exemptions and easing the visa policy to attract tourists. It is creating new tour plans to stimulate tourism growth in Myanmar.— MOHT
