Myanmar ships 1,100+ tonnes of shrimp to external markets in Q1

The Fisheries Department stated that Myanmar conveyed 1,176.283 tonnes of shrimp to international trading partners in the first quarter of the current financial year 2024-2025, beginning 1 April, with an estimated capital of $4.195 million.
Myanmar’s seaborne shrimp export reached 1,124.148 tonnes worth $3.938 million, and the border saw exports of 52.135 tonnes worth $0.257 million in Q1 (April-June).
Myanmar exports fishery products to 40 international countries, including Japan, Bangladesh, China and Thailand, through maritime and border trade channels.
Myanmar delivered fisheries worth $143.244 million to external markets in Q1 this FY. — NN/KK
