Myanmar showcases traditional lacquerware at International Festival Charity Bazaar 2023 in Austria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the family of the Myanmar Embassy in Vienna, Austria, participated in displaying traditional lacquerware, foods, and other traditional items at the International Festival Charity Bazaar 2023 held in Vienna, Austria, on 8 and 9 December.
It was a fund-raising plan to aid children all over the globe and was organized by the United Nations Women’s Guild Vienna (UNWG).
The United Nations and other international organizations based in Austria and embassies of 48 countries, including Myanmar and Austria, took part in the exhibition by displaying their traditional products and foods. The report states that earnings from the fund-raising event were donated to the UNWG.
The opening ceremony of the International Festival Charity Bazaar 2023 was attended by Ambassador U Min Thein, the Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations and other international organizations, and other diplomats and permanent representatives from different countries in Vienna were present at the event. — ASH/ TMT
