Myanmar sport athletes leave for China for training in the run-up to SEA Games

Under a government-to-government training programme, Myanmar is sending its athletes to Kunming, Nanning and Guangzhou of the People’s Republic of China in batches for their training so that they could achieve a victory in the 28th SEA Games to be hosted in Singapore this year.
A total of 89 sports consortiums from various fields left in the first batch the Yangon International Airport by China Airline today. Their training will finish in the end of May and proceed to Singapore where the sports and games are due to commence on 5 June.
The second batch will leave for China on 8 April.
