Myanmar squad lose 1-2 to Burundi team in friendly match

The Myanmar national men’s football team, which is under training in Turkey as part of preparations for the ASEAN Suzuki Cup, lost 1-2 to Burundi, an African team, in the second tune-up match on the night of 13 November.
The Myanmar team was leading by one goal for more than 70 minutes of the match, but lost by two goals after 75 minutes.
Myanmar national team head coach Antoine Hey used his favorite line-up including goalkeeper Myo Min Latt, defenders: David Htan, Zaw Ye Htun, Nyein Chan, Win Moe Kyaw, Midfielders: Maung Maung Win, Yan Naing Oo, Maung Maung Lwin, Suam Lam Mang, Hlaing Bo Bo and striker Than Paing.
The first goal for Myanmar was scored by Suam Lam Mang at 28th minute, but Burundi team equalized at 78th minute and the winning goal for the African team was scored from the penalty spot in the 81st minute-mark.
Myanmar beat Turkey Club Manavgatspor 2-1 in their previous friendly match on 10 November. The Myanmar team will play another friendly match against Indonesian team on 25 November and is trying to play other friendly matches, Myanmar Football Federation authorities said.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
