Myanmar Tatmadaw shooting team stands fourth in 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet

The Myanmar Tatmadaw Shooting Team competed in the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-30) held in Viet Nam from 4 to 11 November 2022.
The 42-member Myanmar team led by Lt-Col Thein Soe Tun comprised shooters, administrator and coaches. The Myanmar team competed in categories of men’s and women’s pistol, men’s carbine, men’s rifle and men’s machine gun. The Myanmar team swept 6 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals in teamwise tournament and 6 more gold, 6 more silver and 4 more bronze medals in falling plate event. The Myanmar team stood fourth in the AARM-30 with 12 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze medals in total. Although Myanmar and Laotian teams secured same numbers of medals in the competition, Myanmar team stood the fourth position due to getting 335.14 points in the rifle event but Laos got 220.05 points this event.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw shooting team arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw on 12 November by air. They were welcomed back by Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo and senior military officers from the Office of Commander-in-Chief (Army).—MNA
