Myanmar’s Tatmadaw is conducting mutual study tours to further develop and strengthen relations with the armed forces of foreign countries, as well as organizing friendly sports competitions and participating in international military sports competitions.
Tatmadaw participated in the Russia-Myanmar cadets swimming competition held from 5 to 10 September at the Russian Military Sports University in St Petersburg to strengthen the friendship with the Russian Armed Forces. The Russia-Myanmar cadet swimming competition was held from 5 to 10 September in 15 types of competitions. Officials presented medals to the cadets from Myanmar’s Tatmadaw as they won one gold, three silver and 12 bronze medals.
Team Myanmar visited the Russian Military Sports University, Artillery History Museum, Avrora Warship Museum and landmarks in St Petersburg, had a group photo taken and exchanged gifts with Team Russia.
Team Myanmar returned to Yangon International Airport yesterday morning and was welcomed by officials at the airport. — MNA/KZL
