Myanmar team face defeat in Viet Nam U-19 Invitational Tourney

The second day of the Viet Nam U-19 Invitational Tournament was held on 7 August in Binh Duong, Viet Nam, and the Myanmar team suffered another defeat. In the second match of the group, the Myanmar team played against the Thai team and lost by 0-1. The Myanmar team lost two games in a row, so there was less opportunity to play in the finals. The Myanmar team made some changes to the starting line-up.
The Thai team got an opening or winning goal at the nine minutes from the start and Phuwanat scored. The Myanmar team tried to get a good result in this match and had chances to score, but due to the weakness of the end, the game continued without an equalizer. The last day of the group will continue on 9 August, and Myanmar will take on Malaysia, and Thailand will face host Viet Nam. The tournament was held in a four-team round-robin system, and the two teams with the most points will go to the finals. The two teams with the lowest points will play for a third placed match.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
