Myanmar, Thailand to promote cooperation in military affairs

Vice President U Nyan Tun held talks with Chief of Defence Forces General Worapong Sanganetra of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and party at the Credentials Hall of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
They focused on formation of joint commission and the joint border committees for cooperation in promoting bilateral relations, arrangements for friendly relations and cooperation between two armed forces of Myanmar and Thailand, and cooperation in peace and stability, rule of law, drug elimination, combating terrorism and prevention of human trafficking at border regions between the two countries.
Also present at the call were Deputy Ministers Brig-Gen Kyaw Zan Myint, Commodore Aung Thaw, U Thant Kyaw, U Han Sein and Daw Win Maw Tun, and the Thai Military Attaché.
