Myanmar to face Lebanon in opener of 2022 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers

Myanmar women’s national football team will play against the Lebanon team in the opener of the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers to be held in the third week of October.
Myanmar team is falling in Group D together with Lebanon, UAE and Guam.
The tournament will be divided into eight groups and only the top team in each group will win the Tournament.
According to the group vote, Group A includes China Taipei, Bahrain and Laos, while Group B consists of Vietnam, Tajikistan, Maldives and Afghanistan.
In the meantime, Singapore is placing in Group C together with Iraq and Indonesia.
Next, South Korea, Uzbekistan and Mongolia are placed in the Group E and Group F comprises the Philippines, Hong Kong and Nepal.
Group G consists of Jordan, Iran and Bangladesh while ASEAN powerhouse team Thailand is included in Group H with Palestine and Malaysia.
The AFC has decided to hold the Group D matches of team Myanmar in Kyrgyzstan from 18 to 24 October.
According to the fixtures, Myanmar will play against Lebanon on 18 October, Guam on 21 October and UAE on 24 October respectively.
The Myanmar team is making final preparations for the tournament and the final list will be released shortly before the tourney.
Some group matches from the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers have been completed and six teams: Viet Nam, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Iran and Thailand have already qualified to the next stage. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
