Myanmar to play friendly matches with Thailand in Mandalay

In preparation for the 3rd round qualification of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics women’s football competition, the Myanmar national women’s football team will play friendly matches against the Thailand team on 25 and 28 January at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay.
Entry to the friendly matches will be free for fans, according to a statement issued by the Myanmar Football Federation.
Team Myanmar will meet South Korea and Viet Nam teams in Group A matches of the 3rd round qualification of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
If team Myanmar pass the 3rd round qualifiers, they will enter the playoff stage for the qualification to the Tokyo Olympics.
Team Myanmar comprises 28 footballers and 26 players have been selected for the friendly match against team Thailand, according to the MFF. U Khin Maung Htwe will lead the team as temporary head coach, it stated.
Veteran strikers Khin Moe Wai, Win Theingi Tun, and youth players Myat Noe Khin, Yi Yi Oo, July Kyaw, and Nu Nu have been selected on the team, according to a statement released yesterday by the Myanmar Football Federation.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
