In the international week designated by the International Football Federation (FIFA), the Myanmar national team and the Hong Kong national team will play two friendly matches this month.
Two friendly matches will be played in Hong Kong on 21 and 24 September.
The first match will be played behind closed doors, while the second match will be watched by fans inside the stadium. The Myanmar national team will start training for the friendly match on 15 September, and the preliminary list of players will be released within the next few days.
This is the second time that the Myanmar and Hong Kong teams have tested each other this year. The first time was a goalless draw when they played a training match in Thailand on 24 May.
After playing a friendly match in Hong Kong in 2015, the two teams will meet again this year in Hong Kong. The Myanmar national team played two international friendly matches this year, against Hong Kong and Bahrain in May. Team Myanmar played a 0-0 draw against Hong Kong but lost 0-2 to the Bahrain team. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
