Myanmar Traditional Boxing World Championship to be held this month

The Myanmar Traditional Boxing (Lethwei) World Championship named MLWC-7, which has been held annually since 2016, will take place on 14 August at Theinbyu Traditional Boxing Hall. In the competition, the champions of Myanmar will face off against the champions of various foreign countries.
In the 60-kilo, Myanmar’s Saw Ba Hein will fight against Thearith Ouch of Cambodia.
In the 67-kilo, Min Htet Aung of Myanmar will take on Alan Yauny of Argentina. In the 63.5-kilo, Ae Mwe of Myanmar will face Jake Oliver of New Zealand. In the 70-kilo, Myanmar’s starfighter Soe Lin Oo will meet Wijit of Thailand.
In the 80-kilo, Myanmar’s former Lethwei Champion Tun Tun Min will fight with Hamed Soleimani of Iran.
In the special women’s challenging bout, May Thazin Htoo will take on Than Thar Nyeint Nyaong from ATM 2 Club.
The Myanma traditional boxing championship will be broadcast live on Skynet Sports Channel, and a limited number of tickets will be sold. — Bala Soe/GNLM
