Myanmar traditional Lethwei challenges held in Yangon

With the supervision of the Myanmar Lethwei (traditional boxing) Federation, Myanmar Lethwei competitions were held at Theinbyu Boxing Gymnasium in Yangon yesterday afternoon.
In the four round challenge fights, Ye Lin Oo (Smart Fight) delivered low punches to Saw Nga Mauk (Doh Yoe Yar) in the second round.
In the third round, Saw Nga Mauk requested for a break as Ye Lin Oo hit him a bit.
In the fourth round, both fighters fought with care to finish the bout with a draw.
Next, a fight of Saw Shaw Lamon (Yoe Yar Kyar) vs Mahuyar (Phoenix) went to a tie after drawing the fans’ attention.
In the next fight, Saw Htoo (Yoe Yar Kyar) requested for a break as Aung Htet Oo (Doh Yoe Yar) delivered kicks on him.
Aung Htet Oo beat Saw Htoo in the second round after producing strong kicks plus punches.
In the three round challenges, fights of Daung San Lay (Daung Myanmar) vs Myint Myat Oo (Taw Win Ayeyar), Daung The Lay (Daung Myanmar) vs Naga Min (Fighting Fight), Salai Thang Khwi Shein (Zwe Myanmar) vs Aung Lay (Eagle Club), and Shin Htet (Zar Htet Meiktila) vs Nyo Naing Win (Lone Chaw) concluded as draws.
In the match between Bo Mahtar (Taw Win Ayeyar) and Soe Lin Tun (APT), Soe Lin Tun had to take a break in the second round due to Bo Mahtar’s punch and then faced loss in the second round.
After the competition, the best fighter award in posture went to Daung The Lay (Daung Myanmar) while the best fight award was given to the fight between Saw Nga Mauk (Doh Yoe Yar) vs Ye Lin Oo (Smart Fight).—Bala Soe/KZL
