Myanmar Vovinam team collect one more gold, seven bronze medals

Myanmar Vovinam team further won one gold and seven bronze medals in the second day Vovinam Competition of the XXXII SEA Games held on 7 May. The third gold medal for Myanmar was earned by Mana Kui and Tin Htoo Zaw during the Men’s duel form event. In this competition, Myanmar won the gold medal with 450 points, Vietnam the silver medal with 446 points, and Cambodia the bronze medal with 439 points. In the Men’s 60-kg Fight Event, Aung Khant Zaw won one bronze medal.
Next, Hein Htet Aung, Kyaw Thu Soe Aung, Nay Lin Htet, Khaing Zar Tun, Phyo Ei Kyaw and Thida Min won another bronze medal in the Mixed Competition.—Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
In the Women’s 60-kg event, Hnin Nanda Oo secured one more bronze while Yazar Tun and Tin Htoo Zoo won further bronze medal at Men’s Double Machete Form Event.
In the Ying-yang Sword Form, May Honey Aung Lwin picked one more bronze while Myint Sandi Kyaw won another bronze at Cross Form Event.
After the matches on 7 May, the Myanmar Vovinam team have won three gold and 11 bronze medals for the country and will continue to compete on 9 May. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
