Myanmar women’s U-20 team placed in group B of 2nd round Asian Qualifiers

The drawing-lots ceremony for the 2024 Asian Women’s U-20 Championship Qualifiers (second round), which includes the Myanmar women’s U-20 team, was held at noon yesterday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Teams from China, Australia, Viet Nam, Myanmar, Iran, China (Taipei), and Lebanon who have passed the first stage of the qualifiers have been divided into two groups. The Myanmar women’s U-20 team is in Group B along with China, Nepal, and China Taipei.
Australia, Viet Nam, Iran, and Lebanon are in Group A, and the 2024 AFC Women’s Under-20 Championship second-round qualifiers are scheduled to be held from 3 to 11 June 2023.
The first and second-placed teams from the two groups for the second round will advance to the next stage along with Uzbekistan, Japan, North Korea, and South Korea.
Uzbekistan will host the 2024 Asian Women’s U-20 Championship. The winner, first-runner and second-runner-up teams will qualify for the 2024 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup. — KZL
