Myitkyina reopens 13 highway bus lines

With the getting of the permission to resume the highway bus lines, the buses suspended because of coronavirus outbreak, 13 highway bus lines out of 22 have resumed their services.
On the first day of permission, only two bus lines were operated. The bus lines are being inspected by the Kachin state health department and private bus lines supervision committee whether they followed the rules and regulations adopted by the Ministry of Health and Sports or not. The fares of the bus lines remain unchanged, said secretary U Myo Myint of bus lines supervision committee.
The bus lines operating between Yangon and Mohnyin from Kachin limit the passengers and measure the temperature of the drivers, bus conductors and passengers. The drivers and bus conductors are also provided with the training for coronavirus emergency response, said U Myo Naing, the person in charge of Tat Nay Lin bus line.
The buslines from Kachin to Yangon and Mohnyin are High Class, Ngwe Hnin Mandala, Tat Nay Lin, Myo Sat Thit, Shwe Myit Sone, Swam, Ma Naw Ta Gon, Shwe Kachin, Moe Kaung Kin, Myat Mandalar Tun, High Boss and Jame Phaw Shwe Myay. —Nwe Sein (IPRD) (Translated by Hay Mar)
