The National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is receiving the donations of cash and hospital equipment presented by business companies, organizations and individuals.
The donation ceremony yesterday was held at the Ministry of Health and Sports in Nay Pyi Taw, and the Director-General of Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training under the Ministry of Education and a responsible person from the Unilever Co.,Ltd. explained their donations.
The contributions of cash and medical supplies at the ceremony were K3.7 million from the Ministry of Education, K1.9 million from the Union Auditor-General and staff members, K110 million from U Maung Kyu (OK Wheat Factory) and Daw Than Than Htay and close relatives, K50 million from U Win Myint Maung family and their friends, K10 million from Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), K10 million from the Commerce Graduates’ Association (Myanmar), K20 million from U Aung Lin and Daw San San Myint with sons U Myo Thant, Dr Zeya Lin from Min Htin soya-bean sauce business, K220 million worth of sanitary items from Unilever Co.,Ltd., K10 million worth of medical supplies from RVK Co.,Ltd, K 5 million worth of 15,000 units of face masks from Nebular Co.,Ltd, K1.5 million worth of 40 PPE sets and hand sanitizers from Sawbwa Lay Bo Bo Maung, K0.7 million worth of 2,000 face masks from U Aung Zaw Win and family, K6.6 million worth of 600 hand speakers from Access Spectrum, K1 million from Mr Fahmid Bhulya (PGMF), K1.5 million from the Director-General and staff members of Financial Regulatory Department, K1.28 milliion worth of surgical masks and N95 masks from the Miniso Co.,Ltd., US$1,050 from the MT Golden Denise-on board Myanmar Seafarers & Friends, K1 million from U Tun Win Aung and close family members of the Light House, K1.5 million from the geological graduates of Yangon University (1982), K12.7 million worth of oxygen concentrators from AA Medical, and K15 million from Han Sein Thant Company.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
