The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiate Committee meets the Shan State Progressive Party-SSPP representatives at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiate Committee held a discussion with the Shan State Progressive Party-SSPP representatives at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The event was attended by State Administration Council member Union Minister at the Union Government Office (1) Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiate Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Vice-Chairman (2) Sao Khun Seng of SSPP, Secretary (2) Sao Sai Su, Central Committee member Sao Naw Leik and Sao Than Aung.
During the meeting, Committee Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae explained the ongoing peace processes, holding of talks with ethnic armed organizations without any restrictions recognizing 2022 as a peace year, ceasefire, regional development programmes, reduction of conflicts, fulfilling the needs of residents, cooperation works to ensure successful holding of a free and fair multiparty democracy general election and measures of State peace and stability.
Then, SSPP Vice-Chairman (2) discussed establishing a community ensuring peace and stability and prevalence of law and order, trust-building measures for regional stability and security on both sides, and overcoming obstacles by holding several dialogues.
They also focused on the current situations of ethnic armed groups in Shan State, other peace processes and regional development sectors. After the meeting, the officials gave presents. — MNA
