National Symphony Orchestra Concert marks Myanmar-Japan diplomatic relations

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Myanmar-Japan diplomatic relations, the Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra Concert 2014 was held at the National Theatre on Myoma Kyaung Street in Yangon on 2 December evening.
Japanese pianist Ms Kyoko Koyama and Professional Conductor Mr Yunosuke Yamamoto presented Myanmar songs and music to the audiences.
Deputy Minister for Information U Pike Htway presented flower basket to the Japanese professionals and Japanese Ambassador Mr Tateshi Higuchi and wife, the flower basket to the Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra was formed by Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information in 2002. Professional musicians from the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Thailand and Japan trained Myanmar musicians.
Some members of the orchestra studied fine arts abroad and performed musical entertainments at home and abroad.—Yi Yi Myint
