Nearly 200,000 seeds to be broadcast from hot-air balloons in PyinOoLwin

Almost 200,000 seeds and humus balls with seeds inside will be scattered across PyinOoLwin Township in Mandalay Region as part of the cultivation activity during the rainy season, according to the Green Challenge Association, a group formed by Pyin OoLwin residents who love the environment.
The scattering of seeds by using three hot-air balloons is planned to be carried out from 2 July to the end of September. It will be scattered around the Meethatkway Pagoda, Paypin village-tract on the Mandalay-Pyin OoLwin Road, Thantaung village, Pyinsa-Yeywa Road, Thasi Mountain, Sinphyuinn village, PanOo Taung village-tract, the precinct of the Lemyethna Pagoda, and Ward 10 in PyinOoLwin Township.
Each hot-air balloon will bear around 65,000 seeds, and it is reported that the seeds will be shot with catapults from the hot-air balloons.
Nature lovers can donate the seeds of all types of trees, plants, flowers, and seedlings and help mix the seeds with humus, according to the Green Challenge Association.
The second scattering of seeds will be held on 2 August and the third will be held on 1 September in PyinOoLwin Township. — TWA/CT
