New postage stamp to be on sale in December

Myanma Post under the Ministry of Transport and Communications will issue a new postage stamp with a picture of Jerdon’s Minivet (Pericrocotus albifrons) bird in Myanmar. It is a species of bird endemic to Myanmar, according to the record of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.
The new postage stamp worth K200 will be sold simultaneously at the Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw, the General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay and post offices in other regions and states at 9:30 am on 2 December.
As a special programme, the date will be sealed on the postage stamps purchased at the Central Post Office in Nay Pyi Taw and General Post offices in Yangon and Mandalay on 2 December, it is reported. — MNA
