Ngwetaung Beach welcomes 14,115 local visitors in July

Ngwetaung Beach in Ngaputaw Township, Ayeyawady Region, welcomed 14,115 travellers in July 2024, according to Daw Ni Ni Mar, an executive official of the Myanmar Tourism Federation.
The beach’s proximity to the Myat Mawtinsun Pagoda attracts both local and foreign visitors year-round, with the majority coming from the Yangon Region and Nay Pyi Taw.
Daw Ni Ni Mar commented, “The beach welcomed around 36,555 local visitors in February, 38,955 in March, 48,955 in April, 54,555 in May, and 17,455 in June. Ngwetaung Beach is visited by tourists all year round”. Visitors to the beach can rent bicycles, motorboats, and horses, enjoy locally produced food, and purchase souvenirs. — ASH/MKKS
