Mr. Dag-Inge Ulstein, Norwegian Minister of International Development, travelled together with the Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar and observed wards, hospitals, villages, and IDP camps in Sittway Township yesterday.
The delegation first visited Aung Mingalar Ward where they met with the local residents and visited the schools and clinics there.
They then went to Sittway General Hospital and were taken around to see the patients receiving medical care by Medical Superintendent Dr. Moe Myint Win and other officials.
Next, the delegation visited Thae Chaung IDP camp and met with the camp officials and the internally displaced persons.
From there they went to Thae Chaung Village and met with ethnic Rakhine, Maramagyi and Islamic residents there. The delegation left for Yangon by flight in the evening.
