NSA & Union Minister receives BIMSTEC national security chiefs

Admiral Moe Aung, National Security Adviser and Union Minister for the Ministry 1 of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office, received National Security Chiefs of the BIMSTEC States in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Minister Admiral Moe Aung met General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) from Sri Lanka and received Mr Ruchakorn Napapornpipat from Thailand separately.
During the meeting, they frankly exchanged views on the situation that will solve challenges that the countries are experiencing through cooperation between the countries on the security of the region, the current status of Myanmar’s political development and preparations for the successful holding of a free and fair multiparty democratic general election.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for the Ministry 1 of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office Maj-Gen Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, and officials. — MNA/TS
