NSA & Union Minister receives BIMSTEC national security chiefs

BIMSTEC’s National Security Chiefs call on National Security Adviser and Union Minister Admiral Moe Aung yesterday.

Admiral Moe Aung, National Security Adviser and Union Minister for the Ministry 1 of the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office, received National Security Chiefs of the BIMSTEC who are in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the Fourth BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs’ Meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. Union Minister Admiral Moe Aung met with the chiefs of national security, Ambassador Abdul Motaleb Sarker of Bangladesh and Mr Sonam Wangyel from Bhutan yesterday morning, and India’s Shri Ajit Doval in the evening, separately.
Similarly, Union Minister Admiral Moe Aung met national security chief from Nepal, Mr Harishchandra Ghimire, and Secretary-General of BIMSTEC Mr Indra Mani Pandey separately. During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the situation that will be able to solve the challenges that the countries are experiencing through the cooperation among member states on the security of the regional economy and the status of Myanmar’s political development and preparations for a free and fair multiparty democratic general election.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for the Ministry 1 of State Administration Council Chairman’s Office Maj-Gen Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, the director-general and officials. — MNA/TS
