Malicious media outlets are falsely reporting that ward administration body teams in Amar, Pyapon District, Ayeyawady Region, have been collecting money in certain wards to provide food and entertainment for census enumerators.
When questioned about the issue, an official from the township administration clarified that the 2024 census is being conducted smoothly as part of a national effort. The data collection, which began on 1 October, involved relevant teams with active public participation. However, subversive media outlets are circulating these false claims in an attempt to undermine public cooperation with the government and create misunderstanding. — MNA/TRKM
