Officials from the Natural Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement on 6 October morning distributed bags of rice to over 1,000 IDPs (internally displaced persons) in MraukU Town of Rakhine State.
Daw Nan Moe Nwe, the head of the District Natural Disaster Management Department, and other officials from the department handed over 372 rice bags to 1,240 IDPs from 336 households at Shwehteezaung, Myatazaung, Dinekyi, and Koenawin monasteries in MraukU Town.
