On behalf of SAC Chairman, SAC Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe signs book of condolences for demise of General Secretary of Vietnamese Communist Party Central Committee

On behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Secretary of the State Administration Council, accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrived at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on Thiri Mingala Street, Kamayut Township, Yangon, at 2 pm yesterday to sign the book of condolences for the demise of Mr Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Secretary of the State Administration Council was welcomed by Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Myanmar Mr Ly Quoc Tuan, Defence Attaché Mr Dao Van Duy and officials.
Then, the Secretary of the State Administration Council met the Ambassador, Defence Attaché and authorities concerned with the Vietnamese Embassy at the parlour in a friendly manner. He also expressed the message of condolences and sympathies from the Chairman of the State Administration Council for the recent passing of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and signed the book of condolences.
Mr Nguyen Phu Trong served as the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam since 2011 and paid an official visit to Myanmar in 2017. He was the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from 2018 to 2021. — MNA
