ONE Championship’s first all-women event postponed

ONE Championship officials stated that the first all-women fighting event of ONE Championship (named as Empower) to be held in Singapore on 28 May, has been postponed.
“Fans will have to wait a little bit longer to witness ONE Championship’s first all-women card.
The world’s largest martial arts organization was originally scheduled to broadcast ONE: EMPOWER live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 28 May. But due to the current COVID-19 situation, the groundbreaking event has been postponed, but another stand-fight event will be substituted”, ONE officials said.
A new date for ONE: EMPOWER will be announced soon”, officials added.
When the event comes back into action, ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan “The Panda” will defend her belt against second-ranked contender and BJJ Hall of Famer Michelle Nicolini.
Also, in the co-main event, pound-for-pound kickboxing great Anissa Meksen will meet Martine Michieletto “The Italian Queen” in a ONE Super Series showdown.
Finally, the stacked card will feature the entire quarterfinal round of the pivotal ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix. — GNLM
