One-month suspension of quota to be imposed unless petrol stations withdraw quota fuel: MPTA

The Myanmar Fuel Oil Importers and Distributors Association-MFOIDS is selling fuel to SME petrol stations, and the Myanmar Petroleum Trade Association-MPTA has announced that eligible buyers must withdraw within one month.
The Small and Medium Petrol Station Business Committee decided on 20 May to distribute 6,000 litres of 92 to the first priority regions: Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, Nay Pyi Taw; and 4,000 litres of 92 to the rest of the regions.
The purchase must be made at the set wholesale reference rate set by the PPRD on 21 May and eligible petrol stations must contact relevant oil importers and deposit the money and withdraw the petrol accordingly by 26 May.
In addition, if the eligible petrol stations do not withdraw the quota fuel, they will be suspended for one month from asking for a quota, according to the statement of the MPTA.
