One woman arrested with detonators used in bombings in Mandalay int’l airport

One woman was arrested with 98 detonators to be used in terrorist bombings at the Mandalay International Airport in TadaU township, Mandalay Region, on 20 December.
While security personnel on duty at No (1) Exit X-ray were conducting search at the airport, 98 detonators were found in the SOD (special ordinary detonator) container, mixed with Fluza medicines inside the box of Ma Moe Myint Hlaing, 20, a resident of Sinthay village, Hkamti Township, Sagaing Region.
According to her statement, Ma Aye Aye Chit (a) Boksone Ma, a resident of Mahaaungmye Township, who instructed her to deliver, and Daw Law Hway (a) Daw Kyaung Fahway (a) Daw Tin Thein, the mother of Ma Moe Myint Hlaing, who was to receive the detonators, were arrested at their respective houses.
According to the statement of Ma Aye Aye Chit, U Thein Tun and his wife Daw Khin Phyu Win (a) Zai Tung Pi, who came and delivered more detonators at her house, were arrested with 1,000 detonators in the evening.
It is reported that actions will be taken effectively against them under the law, according to MPF. — MNA
