More than 1,000 cyclists from Yangon participated in an event yesterday to mark World Bicycle Day, which falls on 3 June. The cycling event kicked off at Baganlone Island, near Karaweik, Kandawgyi garden around 6 a.m. yesterday.
Officials from the Myanmar Bicycle Federation and enthusiasts from cycling groups started from Baganlone Island and rode on two routes along the ring road circling the Kandawgyi garden, which is about 3 miles in circumference.
“Today is World Bicycle Day. So, we are riding the bikes to mark this day.
