More than 1,800 Covid-19 patients have been allowed to discharge from Inya Centre, according to a doctor there.
From 16 October to 25 November, a total of 1,874 patients were discharged from the centre with the permission of the Yangon Region COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment Coordination Committee and in accord with the guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Sports.
Under the guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Sports and Yangon Region government, the treatment centre started to be constructed at Yangon Convention Centre on 29 September with an initial fund of K1 billion—K700 million by KBZ Bank and K300 million by Shwe Thanlwin Company. The operation of the centre started on 10 October.
The treatment centre will be furnished with 500 beds, including 16 high dependency units.
Moreover, the centre has arranged for breakfast, lunch and dinner of nutritional value and necessary medicines for the patients. The centre includes separate buildings for the doctors, nurses and volunteers and also a 24-hour food court. (Translated by Hay Mar)
