More than 200 bodybuilders from gym clubs of various states and regions competed in the Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Competition, held at Padetha Sports Hall, North Okkalapa Township, Yangon on 19 March.
The competition was organized for the first time by veteran bodybuilders and Myanmar gym owners.
The competition features junior bodybuilding contests, under 70 kilogrammes senior bodybuilding contests, Men’s bodybuilding contests, under and above 170 centimetres Men’s Sport Physique contests, under and above 160 centimetres Women’s Model Physique, and Men’s Goa bodybuilding contests.
Then, the selected athletes compete in seven international standard poses, and the athletes who get first to fifth are awarded medals and cash prizes by officials of the gym clubs. — Bala Soe/KZL
