Over 200 Japanese companies have offered jobs to approximately 1,100 Myanmar workers, according to a statement from the Myanmar Embassy in Japan.
The statement detailed that 218 demand letters were re-submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after verification. It added that the embassy has been verifying demand letters received from the Ministry of Labour via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The verification process involves checking whether the labour supervisory companies and the factories or companies offering jobs are officially established in Japan. The findings and remarks are then re-submitted to the Ministry of Labour through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement also noted that over 400 male and over 600 female workers from Myanmar would be recruited. — TWA/MKKS
