Over 26,000 foreigners tour Shwedagon Pagoda within 4 months

According to official figures, a total of 26,067 foreigners visited the Shwedagon Pagoda, with 6,830 in January, 7,474 in February, 7,206 in March, and 4,557 in April.
An average of 150 foreign visitors per day visit the pagoda, with most coming from China, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
The Shwedagon Pagoda has been open from 5 am to 9 pm since 1 January 2024 to provide pilgrims with more convenient visiting hours. — TWA/TRKM
