Thanks to the enthusiastic contribution of the local people, the contract for the purchase of an oxygen machine was signed on 17 July.
According to a member of the Kawlin Township Oxygen Implementation Committee, a deposit of US$23,500 has already been paid for the oxygen plant construction and equipment will arrive at the port of Yangon within 45 days of signing the contract and will be transported to Kawlin as soon as possible.
Efforts are being made to order about 100 sets of 40-litre oxygen tanks for the township oxygen plant.
However, due to the current high demand for oxygen tanks in the city, about 50 tanks will be procured locally by the end of this month to ensure adequate intervals before direct import.
For the future processes of the oxygen plant, the township elders will move forward with Shwe Kawlin oxygen-supplying association, philanthropic groups and young volunteers, officials said. – Myint Tun Min (Kawlin)/ GNLM
