Over K490 mln worth of heroin seized in Mogok

Authorities seized heroin worth over K490 million in Mogok township, according to Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comparing the anti-narcotics police stopped a six-wheel Nissan diesel vehicle en route to Mogok from Monglon driven by Tun Lin Htet with Kyaw Yin on board at Legyi checkpoint, Mogok Township, Mandalay Region on 14 January at 7 pm. Then, the team found heroin weighing 19.8 kilos worth over K490 million from the vehicle. Police have filed charges against both of them. Further investigation is being conducted to arrest chains of suspects.—MNA
