Visitors are feeding the elephants in the Palin Kanthaya elephant resort.

Palin Kanthaya elephant resort opened on the bank of the Ayeyawady River near Palin (West) village, on the Myingyan-Pakokku Road in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region, was crowded with visitors and elephant lovers during the water festival period, according to the officials of the elephant resort.
The Palin Kanthaya elephant resort was opened by the Myanmar Timber Enterprise of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and is a tourist destination for pilgrims to Bagan.
The elephant resort also offers an elephant museum, a playground for children, an elephant bathing place, a view bridge, a treehouse, and long-legged tents set up along the riverbank to relax and enjoy the beauty of the river with an elephant ride, as well as the visitors can feed the elephants. — Ko Htein (KPD)/GNLM
