Passenger boat sinks in Myeik

Members of the security forces are seen providing healthcare for the rescued victims.

The boat, which was carrying 20 passengers, including three boatmen, sank on 4 April as it hit the rock at about five miles off Ma Aine Island in Myeik Township of Taninthayi Region. According to the tip-off, the security forces went to the incident place and found they were saved by four local boats.
They were then transferred to the military vessel and provided the needed medical services.
The victims were systematically transferred to Yay Kan Taung Village administrator. —MNA
