Paung Laung football ground to be returned to Pyinmana people

THE Pyithu Hluttaw session continued its 39th day with a question and answer session, the submission of a proposal and parliamentary approval for a proposed law yesterday.
During the Q & A session, Union Minister for Health and Sports Dr Myint Htway replied that the Paung Laung football ground, leased to Nay Pyi Taw FC, a football club, will be handed over to the people of Pyinmana.
An agreement was reached to hand over the football ground to the ministry through the Myanmar Football Federation by the Nay Pyi Taw FC following the stadium lease being terminated, added the Union minister.
Regarding a question over construction works for the Thasi Township People’s Hospital, the Union minister pledged to construct an operation theatre and staff quarters next fiscal year and to build a fence and roads at the hospital this fiscal year.
Next, Dr Maung Thin of Meiktila Constituency submitted a proposal calling on the Union government to hold basic education seminars involving people from all walks of life to assist the process of drafting a basic education law to the Pyithu Hluttaw.
Following parliamentary approval of the proposal, the Hluttaw decided to discuss the motion.
Then, the Speaker informed the parliamentarians that the Pyithu Hluttaw received the bill to repeal the Emergency Provisions Act sent back from the Amyotha Hluttaw with no amendments.
