People share merits for military servicemen who killed in action in N-E Command


A ceremony to share merits gained for donations in memory of military servicemen, who killed in action for the country and the people in the battles in the area of North-East Command, northern Shan State, was held at the cave of Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw  at 7 am on Thursday.
Members of the Sangha led by State Ovadaçariya Sayadaw Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Kavisara of Maha Withutayama Zaygon Monastery in Pyinmana were in attendance.
U Thwin Sit Man Aung and officials of Unity and Peace Philanthropic Group offered provisions to Buddhist monks and shared merits gained for donations.
People holding Eugenia sprigs went round the pagoda and prayed for ensuring peace and tranquility in Kokang region. They dispersed Metta at the northwest corner on the platform.
The ceremony was also attended by members of the Sangha, nuns, U Thwin Sit Man Aung and members of the group, members of social organizations and local people totalling about 500.–Tun Tun Win (Pyinmana)
