Myanmar’s Eight Ball and Nine Ball professional player Phone Myint Kyaw (alias) Ko Ar Ti is currently ranked 16th in the ICEA: the world governing body of the World Master Chinese Pool with 11,242 points, according to an official statement with the ICEA as of 7 December 2020.
“Now I’m ranking 16th in the World Master Chinese Pool. It’s not so easy. I’ll try my best to have better ranks. The support of my fans is all my pleasure. Please do support to me,” Phone Myint Kyaw said.
“In Chinese Pool games, players between ranking 1 to 16 always have to start at 64 players stage and players between ranking 16 to 32 have to start at 96 players stage. If there are more than 32 people, there will be at most 256 players stage.
“Now I am ranking 16th of the World Master Chinese Pool, I have to start from 64 players stage in the upcoming games, and then I will get 3,000 Yuan as a starting fee which is about 600,000 Kyats in Myanmar currency,” Phone Myint Kyaw added.
Currently, Chinese pool player Chu Bingjie is ranking first in the World Master Chinese Pool with total points of 19,997.
Next, Shi Hanqing is currently ranked second with 16,974, and Zhao Ruliang is ranked third with 16,209 points.
The only women’s Chinese pool player who is ranked fourth in the ICEA is Tang Chunxiao with total points of 16,163.
Zheng Yubo who has faced frequently against Phone Myint Kyaw in the previous Chinese Pool tourneys is ranking 15th, a rank higher than the Myanmar pool player. —Lynn Thit (Tgi)
